Top Ten Hand Tactic in Poker
by Carmelo on June 30th, 2010
This is,absolutely, one of the most important ideas in hold’em. Using a top ten tactic is the absolute 1st tactic that competitors should learn considering that it shows the competitor good habits that will proceed to later winnings.
Folks are always inquiring with me what a decent, complete strategy is for a beginner competing in Texas Hold’em. My response is always the same, employ a top ten strategy.
Top 10 strategy, refers to the top ten pockets hands that you are able to have. These hands are AA, KK, queen-queen, AK suited, JJ, TT, nine-nine, 88, AQ suited, and 77. The strategy suggests that you only compete with these hands. This will lead to very reserved action, but for an amateur to holdem, conservatively is precisely how you want to play.
It feels like to me that I am always observing newbies wagering very boldly, they are the earliest players to go all in, and that’s usually the wrong course of action. If these beginner bettors would stay with a top 10 poker tactic, they routinely would come out much more in the long term. More notably, this conservative top ten poker tactic will teach the beginning player understanding, which is the most important ability that a holdem competitor can possess.
