Online poker has become world famous lately, with televised tournaments and celebrity poker game shows. The games popularity, though, stretches back quite a bit further than its television scores. Over the years many variants on the original poker game have been developed, including a few games that are not really poker anymore. Caribbean stud poker is 1 of these games. Despite the name, Caribbean stud poker is more closely related to vingt-et-un than traditional poker, in that the players bet against the dealer instead of each other. The winning hands, are the long-standing poker hands. There is little bluffing or different kinds of bamboozlement. In Caribbean stud poker, you are expected to pay up just before the dealer declares "No more bets." At that instance, both you and the house and of course all of the other players attain five cards. Once you have seen your hand and the bank’s initial card, you need to either make a call bet or give up. The call wager’s amount is on same level to your original wager, indicating that the stakes will have increased two fold. Bowing out means that your ante goes instantaneously to the bank. After the wager is the conclusion. If the dealer does not have ace/king or better, your wager is returned, with a sum on par with the ante. If the house does have ace/king or better, you succeed if your hand beats the casino’s hand. The house pays out money even with your wager and fixed expectations on your call wager. These odds are:

• Even for a pair or high card
• two to one for two pairs
• three to one for three of a kind
• 4-1 for a straight
• five to one for a flush
• seven to one for a full house
• 20-1 for a 4 of a kind
• 50-1 for a straight flush
• one hundred to one for a royal flush
