Literally huge amounts of people want to be the next "mega star" in poker, but here is a short rundown on 4 of the more noteworthy "nice pros" of the game. Although "nice" is associated with their names when you are sitting accross the table from them it’s "no more Mr. Nice guy" until they have removed you out of the game!
Daniel Negreanu
In 2004, his tournament winnings amounted to in the region of 4.4 million dollars and he attained two immensely respected awards in the WSOP Player of the Year and Cardplayer Magazine’s Tournament Player of the Year. In Feb Two Thousand and Six he was chosen Card Player’s Preferred Poker Player. Daniel still has the humility to talk with his admirers about how they will be able to boost their own game.
Howard Lederer
Known as "The Professor" and brother of fellow poker pro Annie Duke. His success has allowed him to make an educational poker video named "Secrets of No Limit Hold’em" and co holding a tournament poker show for Fox. As of 2005, his complete life time winnings surpass 2.7 million dollars.
Scotty Nguyen
Scott is one of the most active players in professional poker and from Two Thousand to 2004 he ranked in the money in more than 100 tournaments. He is noted for saying "yeah baby" throughout poker matches and also credited with the phrase "that’s poker baby" when alluding to a particularly bad beat. As of 2006, his career earnings are just about $6 million.
Chris Ferguson
Chris has earned 5 World Series of Poker titles with two of his wins happening in 2003. Has the nickname "Jesus" as a result of his trademark long hair and beard, and is able to throw cards fast enough to cut through bananas and pickles. As of 2005 his total live poker tournament winnings exceeded five million dollars.
