Online poker has become globally acclaimed as of late, with televised events and celebrity poker game events. Its popularity, though, stretches back in reality a bit further than its television scores. Over the years several variations on the earliest poker game have been developed, including some games that are not quite poker anymore. Caribbean stud poker is 1 of these particular games. Regardless of the name, Caribbean stud poker is most closely resembling chemin de fer than old guard poker, in that the gamblers wager against the bank instead of each other. The succeeding hands, are the established poker hands. There is no bluffing or different types of deception. In Caribbean stud poker, you are required to ante up before the dealer declares "No more wagers." At that moment, both you and the casino and of course all of the other gamblers are given five cards each. After you have observed your hand and the dealer’s 1st card, you have to either make a call bet or accede. The call bet’s amount is on same level to your beginning wager, meaning that the risks will have increased two fold. Giving Up means that your bet goes directly to the casino. After the wager comes the face off. If the casino does not have ace/king or greater, your bet is given back, including a figure equal to the original bet. If the casino does have ace/king or greater, you win if your hand is greater than the casino’s hand. The bank pays money equal to your bet and controlled expectations on your call bet. These odds are:

• Even for a pair or high card
• 2-1 for 2 pairs
• 3-1 for 3 of a kind
• 4-1 for a straight
• 5-1 for a flush
• 7-1 for a full house
• 20-1 for a four of a kind
• 50-1 for a straight flush
• one hundred to one for a royal flush
